The Lightning's march through the Front Range league got off to a good start on Friday night with a 31-7 win over Mountain Range. However, several Front Range teams had big wins in week 1.
Newcomer Fairview looked strong in beating Loveland 44-14 - Last years Champion Poudre looks like they are planning on repeating as they shut out Boulder 28-0 - Rocky Mountain's high octane passing offense was in mid year form as they racked up 315 yards in the air beating Horizon 34-24.
