Down 9-3 at halftime, Coach Voorhees and the Lightning coaches re-groupHigh hopes for a record season for the Legacy high football team took a detour Friday night at French field in Ft. Collins as QB Bryan Peters and the Rocky Mountain Lobos humbled the Lightning 22-10.
Accounting for almost 400 yards by himself, Peters threw for 2 TD's and ran 78 yards on a thrilling scramble for a third. For the third game in a row the Lightning defense did its best to hold on as the offense sputtered to get life fighting through penalties and sloppy play. With a strong Front Range schedule looming it is time for a reality check at 136th & Zuni in Broomfield.
Look for Coach V and the boys to bounce back strongly next Thursday night at North Stadium against Northglenn.
